The reputation of the honey of Narbonne goes way back to antiquity (the Romans regarded it as the best honey in the world). The local honey comes from flowers of the garrigue - the typical mediterranean lowland scrub, and is flavoured with rosemary, thyme, lavander, rock rose and many other Mediterranean plants which change the flavour of the product as the seasons change. It is your turn to taste and mark your preference for the pale colour and discreet flavour of the rosemary honey or the darker colour and more sustained taste of honey from the garrigue.
