Medieval Narbonne

Walking around Narbonne you'll very quickly find yourself back in the Middle Ages.

The lofty cathedral of Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur, one of the tallest in France, dominates the skyline of the old quarter. The proud castle keep of the former Archbishop's palace reminds you of the political and economic power of the Narbonne prelates (the tower affirmed their superiority and overlooked the activity of the port). An exceptional ensemble of monuments: courtyards, cloisters, gothic choirs and works of art to discover on one of our many guided tours.

Merchants and religious congregations of the middle ages can also be discovered on a visit to the Bourg quarter, on the other bank of the Canal de la Robine
